dear all> well my internship at STI will be polka dotted with several breaks, namely a trip to Perth for my sister's graduation next week for a week, a trip to Thailand in April and hopefully a church camp in June.

Happy Valentine's Day you guys :)

haha - these days, if a 6319 number calls my mobile, i start twitching...it's a good thing they can't get at me here.
are any of you writing for your school newspapers? i am...i couldn't stay away from the thrill of the chase for that long. i held out for 3 months though.

I think the important thing is to have no regrets. Don't let the job become your entire life (as impossible as that sounds). There's always something else to live for - my primary motivation is to help further the cause of writing n literature in Singapore, bit by bit. Oh - and we can function as one another's support network. :)

Yeah even last year before I accepted the scholarship, many of the returned scholars said the same thing.
I for one can say I have no problems with being a journalist... just that Singapore probably ain't the best place to pursue such a career. Heh. But still you can make things happen even with the constraints that bind you.
My only worry is that I'll become jaded just like how all the others have become and that's what scares me the most.
How bout the rest of you guys?

Oh and I'll be back beginning of May for 8 weeks. Almost confirmed that I'm going for summer school at Columbia. Just a question of whether or not SPH will sponsor it. But in any case, they can't stop me if I can find other sources of funding right?
